Race Engineer

A local engineer for the driver.

Ask about fuel, pace, gaps, opponents, flags and pit stops by typed question or push-to-talk. It uses local iRacing data and continues to say when it does not have enough information.

  • Nearly ready, with PitCore and FuelCore fully integrated
  • Opt-in Voice Cloning
  • Fuel planning, spotter and race calls
  • Typed questions and push-to-talk
  • Supported pit controls stay local and safety-checked
  • Works without TeamManager

Natural Radio

Optional local AI wording.

Turn it on for less repetitive non-critical radio messages. The small local model is downloaded only after you enable it. Core race calls and critical safety paths do not depend on it.

  • Optional and local
  • No cloud AI needed for the bundled runtime
  • Normal race calls remain available when it is off

Questions teams ask.

Short answers before you install or connect anything.

Does Race Engineer need TeamManager?

No. Its core race features run locally. TeamManager adds connected team features, and sign-in is required for the protected Alpha download.

What is Natural Radio?

An optional local AI layer for less repetitive, non-critical radio messages. Critical spotter and safety calls do not depend on it. Normal race calls continue when it is off or unavailable.

What kind of PC do I need?

Race Engineer runs on 64-bit Windows 10/11 with iRacing for live data. We recommend a modern six-core CPU and 16 GB of system RAM as a starting point, with 32 GB for more headroom. These are provisional recommendations; see the hardware estimates and performance notes.

Can I choose my engineer’s voice?

Yes. Choose a voice in the desktop app or opt in to Voice Cloning to create a personal voice profile. Cloning is optional and separate from Natural Radio, which varies the wording of non-critical messages.

How will TeamManager fit my team?

TeamManager is in development for an upcoming Alpha. Shared events, driver availability and stint plans are planned to connect preparation with the race. Pre-Race Intelligence and automatic strategy updates are planned additions, with no promised release dates.
